"He was graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and served as a clinic doctor for seven years in Department of Hemotology, Xi Yuan Hospital. He received his clinical M.S. degree (1998, 07) and M.D/-PhD (2001, 07) from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physics, Tsinghua University. Research visitor scholar in Hong Kong Baptist University (2003, 07-09); Senior research visitor scholar at the Department of Chemistry in Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) (2005, 07-10) and Biodesign Institute in Arizona State University (2013, 09-11).

In 2004, he joined the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of China (NCNST), where he directed researches for biological imaging and nanomedicine with a focus on nano-imaging, functional biointerfaces and soft matter of medicine. Recently, he found a green pathway in the living system based on confined mass transportation, namely interstitial stream, suggesting a new life model of “living hierarchical complex fluid—interstitial stream”. Then he proposed a new medical model, that is, People-Excitement-Obedience Medicine (PEO medicine), paying attention to the coupling mechanism of ""structure-behavior-function"" as well as complex fluid management. Until now, he published 120 SCI papers and H factor is 27. He has initiated the formulation of two national standards for nano-imaging (Issued, GB/T 28872-2012 and GB/T 28873-2012) and has filed nine patents, five patent applications underway.

He was elected the executive board member, International Society for Clinical Haemorheology; Chairman of the Phlegm-Stasis Professional Committee, Chinese Society of Microcirculation; Member of Committee of Experts on Instrument Development of Chinese Academy of Sciences."
